Prior to this session, read pages 34-57 in DOCAT: What to Do? The Social Teaching of the Catholic Church. (Books may be obtained at no charge from Fr. Mike or Fr. Paul). We ask that you prayerfully consider these questions and invite you to share about at least one of them at the dialogue session:

Why is it important for the Church to be an active, visible community and not just a spiritual reality?

Does the Church have an obligation to speak out about social problems? If so, how deeply should we become involved in working toward solutions?

How can we fulfill Christ’s command to love our neighbor as ourselves when using new media? What are some of the challenges to doing so, and how can we overcome them?

If you are interested, the book is available from Fr, Mike or Fr. Paul.
