Public Mass Resumes at OLP

Greetings to OLP Parishioners and Friends!

As you may have heard, Archbishop Carlson has granted general permission to resume public Mass in church starting May 18, 2020. OLP will be offering daily Mass at 7:30 a.m., Saturday evening Mass at 4:30, and Sunday morning Masses at 8:30 and 11 a.m. The Sunday evening 5:30 p.m. Mass is on hold. No Sunday 5:30 p.m. Mass until further notice.

There will be some changes. The pews will be cordoned off to promote social distancing, all books will be removed from the pews, and the church will be professionally sanitized weekly by DBR Disinfecting Solutions, If you are interested in taking a hymnal home and keeping that as yours until the restriction is lifted, please remove the plastic cover and take only the paperback book. You MUST wear a mask in church. No exceptions. Holy Communion by hand only. No exceptions. Sign of Peace is suspended.

GENERAL GUIDELINES/REMINDERS

Dispensation to attend Sunday Mass continues until further notice.

Parishioners who are symptomatic or who have been exposed to another with the virus should not come to church, in accordance with national, state and local health directives.

Anyone over 60 years-old and those with underlying health complications are encouraged to participate in Masses via live-stream only.

CLEANING, SANITIZING AND HYGIENE

DBR Disinfecting Solutions company will be sanitizing the church weekly

CAPACITY/ATTENDANCE

100 persons.  Pews closed to comply with social distancing will be cordoned off by ribbon.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

Wearing a face mask is mandatory.  The mask can be lowered after receiving Holy Communion in your hand.

OFFERTORY

Stationary baskets will be used for donations.  Donation baskets will not be passed.

Please consider giving your offertory online.

SIGN OF PEACE IS SUSPENDED

HOLY COMMUNION     Maintain 6 foot distancing in the Communion line.

Communicants are to receive the Host in the hand.  Holy Communion from the chalice is prohibited

Communion ministers must be masked, must sanitize their hands immediately before and after distributing Communion.   Communion ministers should utilize a disinfectant wipe or purificator dipped in a sanitizing solution to sanitize their fingers when incidental contact is made with the communicant.
 

When approaching the Communion minister, offer your hands to receive the host.  Then, take a few steps to the side, pull your mask below your chin, place the host in your mouth, and replace your mask.  Return to your pew.
